Award-winning pop songstress Kimbra will perform at Auckland's Big Day Out festival held at Mt Smart Stadium on January 20, 2012.

The Hamilton-born singer who just last month took out the BEST FEMALE ARTIST award at the 2011 ARIAs in Sydney, Australia, will be playing a 45-minute set at 5.15pm on the Converse Green Stage.

Adding a touch of glamour and sophistication to the lineup, Kimbra will perform songs from her debut GOLD album VOWS - an eclectic blend of neo-pop and soul which was released in August this year.

This will be the 21-year-old singer's first performance at the festival which celebrates its 20th year in 2012.

'Ass Back Home (feat. Neon Hitch)' is the latest single from Gym Class Heroes new album, THE PAPERCUT CHRONICLES II which was released on November 14.

Currently sitting at #17 on the NZ singles chart and #31 on the radio airplay chart, the song's popularity is growing with the band performing the hit song on the Late Night With Jimmy Fallon show last week.

Michael Bublé's new album Christmas has claimed the #1 position on the New Zealand album chart.

Christmas is Bublé's second New Zealand #1 album. His debut, self titled album also reached number one when it was released in 2003.  His last album, Crazy Love which was released last year, reached double platinum status.

"I feel like Christmas has come early for me. I'm really proud of this record so this is icing on the fruitcake.  Thank you and Happy Holidays," commented Bublé on the stunning success of his CD which was released five weeks ago.  Bublé described his Christmas CD as "the album I dreamed about making my entire life."

The Christmas CD is a global hit, reaching #1 in the US, UK, Australia and Canada charts and is currently in the Top Ten in every major market. International sales for the album have now passed the 4 million mark.

Christmas was produced by David Foster, Bob Rock and Humberto Gatica and includes such holiday classics as 'Jingle Bells', 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas', 'Silent Night' and 'White Christmas' featuring Shania Twain and an original song written by Bublé' called 'Cold December Night'.

Bublé has sold over 150,000 albums in New Zealand and 29 million albums worldwide. 

Michael Buble, celebrates the release of his new CHRISTMAS album, by headlining his first network television variety special.  Produced by Ben Silverman ('The Office', 'Ugly Betty') and Lorne Michaels ('Saturday Night Live', '30 Rock'), the one-hour special, MICHAEL BUBLE'S CHRISTMAS will feature Michael as he performs hits from his latest Christmas album combined with sketch comedy segments. Elektra recording artist Bruno Mars has scored a stunning six nominations for the upcoming 54th Annual Grammy Awards.

The six nominations place Mars among the year's most-nominated artists, a testament to his diverse talents as performer, songwriter, and producer.  His 24x-worldwide platinum debut album, "DOO-WOPS & HOOLIGANS," was nominated as "Album of the Year" and "Best Pop Vocal Album," while the #1 smash hit, "Grenade," was named in both the "Record of the Year" and "Song of the Year" categories, as well as for "Best Pop Solo Performance."  What's more, The Smeezingtons - that is, the production team of Mars, Philip Lawrence, and Ari Levine - are among the "Producer of the Year, Non-Classical" nominees, celebrating, among other recordings, "DOO-WOPS & HOOLIGANS," along with Mars' featured role on Bad Meets Evil's "Lighters (Feat. Bruno Mars)" and Lil Wayne's "Mirror (Feat. Bruno Mars)." This marks the second consecutive year that the trio has been nominated in this category.

Meanwhile, Mars is riding high with "It Will Rain," the first single from Summit Entertainment/Chop Shop/Atlantic's recently released "THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN - PART 1 - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK." 

The "It Will Rain" companion video is also proving a sensation, earning over 15 million views and counting!

The success of "It Will Rain" marks the 11th top 10 single for Mars, following solo blockbusters like the multi-platinum #1 hits, "Just The Way You Are" and "Grenade" - both featured on 2010's "DOO-WOPS & HOOLIGANS" - as well as songs written and co-produced by Mars, including Cee Lo Green's history-making "F**k You," Travie McCoy's "Billionaire (Feat. Bruno Mars)," and "Nothin' On You (Feat. Bruno Mars)," the #1 smash by B.o.B.

In other news, Mars - who earlier this year took home a "Best Male Pop Vocal Performance" Grammy Award for "Just The Way You Are" - was among the big winners at the recent American Music Awards, winning the prestigious "Pop or Rock Music/Favorite Male Artist" prize.  The victory comes soon after Mars' triumph at MTV's 2011 European Music Awards, where he received two awards, for "Best New Artist" and "Best Push Act."  Other recent achievements for Mars include a "Best Male Video" award from the MTV Music Awards Japan (honoring "Just The Way You Are") as well as two nominations for the upcoming 38th People's Choice Awards (for "Favorite Male Artist" and "Favorite R&B Artist").

Mars recently lit up the stage on the hit singing competition TV series, The X Factor with a spectacular live rendition of "It Will Rain."  The performance has proven another YouTube favourite.
