Over the course of four albums, US quartet Mastodon has redefined the possibilities of modern metal.The band's latest opus, Crack The Skye, draws on a diverse range of influences, from 70s prog to 80s thrash, proving that these four gentlemen never make the same album twice.
"This story is a multi-dimensional journey starting in present day," drummer Brann Dailor says cryptically. "Leaving a crippled body using astral travel, up into outer space, too close to the sun.
